I got my letters in the mail from Michigan State yesterday. I had blood drawn for both Harley and Zeppe to participate in the Thyroid study for Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. I am very pleased to annouce that both passed with flying colors. All normal!
This weekend Harley and I entered the local Sullivan, MO shows for a little practice run to get ready for our National Specialty next week. It worked even better than I expected as Harley earned a Group 4th placement on Friday!
The results of the 2006 Ontario Regional Specialty are up, and we want to send big congrats to all the winners, placers and qualifiers!

Last weekend was a great weekend for Caliber Tollers. I rounded up the gang and we went up to Bloomington, IL for the shows over Memorial Day weekend. All three dogs were entered both days, and we came home with 6 ribbons, earning points or qualifying in each event. Can’t beat that!

Zeppe’s OFA results are in, and it is official that she is clear of hip dysplasia in both her hips and elbows. Her hips were rated GOOD, and elbows are NORMAL.
The Optigen results were received today and Harley is clear/normal for CEA. CEA is Collie Eye Anomaly, a simple autosomal recessive genetic eye disease that affects several herding breeds and the Toller.
